Nara National Museum

The museum building was completed in 1894 designed by an imperial family appointed architect, Tokuma Katayama. This is one of the representative architecture examples from those days and is designated as the Important Cultural Property. The museum possesses a number of art collections including articles donated from temples, shrines, and individuals in Nara prefecture. The annual Shosoin Repository exhibition is held here every autumn.
