Daibutsu-den Hall of Todai-ji Temple

Daibutsu-den Hall enshrines Nara's most famous Buddhist statue, the Great Buddah (Daibutsu). The construction of the present hall was finished in 1691 and the big completion celebration was held in 1709. The hall is designated as the National Treasure. In front of the Daibutsu-den Hall, there is a big bronze octagon lantern which is also the National Treasure.
