Shosoin Repository

Shosoin, located northwest of the Daibutsu-den Hall of Todai-ji Temple, is a large stilted style repository (in Azekura-zukuri architecture style). A number of valuable art and crafts from the Tenpyo era (7-8th century) are possessed here. Shosoin Repository is designated as the UNESCO World Heritage as a part of Todai-ji Temple (Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara).
