Kasuga Grand Shrine

This shrine enshrines four deities: Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, Futsunushi no Mikoto (these two are the guardian of Fujiwara Clan), Amenokoyane no Mikoko and Himegami (these two are original divines). All these four deities, also known as the God of Kasuga, are the guardian gods of the Fujiwara Clan. This is the headquarter shrine of all 22 Kasuga Shrines through around Japan.
