Kurokawa Honke

Kurokawa Honke, founded in 1615, is the time-honored shop specializing in kudzu (plant producing starch) products in Yoshino mountain area in the southern part of Nara.
Sweets using kudzu and dishes using Nara’s local products are offered.

Kudzu-mochi pudding-like arrowroot cake, Kudzu-kiri (jelly noodle) and other Japanese and western sweets using kudzu are available in their shop. Pasta using kudzu and other original dishes are offered in our restaurant.

Come to Kurokawa Honke’s shop and restaurant to experience and enjoy the fine texture of real kudzu starch from Yoshino.
